11.Dragon Palace Cave
Dragon Palace Cave is “National Geo-park” and “Provincial Tourist Resort”. Situated at west Yangjiang and 196 kilometers away from Guangzhou, it belongs to subtropical karst landform scenic spot and was open outside in 1979. There are landscapes of Stone Forest, the Huge Candle, Tongzhen Cave, Mountaineering Trail, Seven Gloriette, Butterfly Ecological Park and facilities of restaurants, electric cars, parking lots, canteens at this scenic spot. It attracted 40,000 tourists in 2005.
Dragon Palace Cave formed 0.32~0.295 billion years ago and the reason why it is named “Dragon Palace Cave” is that the tunnel trunk bends like a dragon. Its length is 1 kilometers, width is 5 ~ 20 meters and height is 15 meters or so. The main landscapes of the cave is Meeting Hall, Dragon Lord Hall, Beautiful Tracery on Wall, Rilievo at Dragon Palace, Pagoda, Umbrella of Dragon Lord, Curtain of Dragon Mother, Plunge Bath of Dragon Girl, Mirror of Dragon Girl, Fiery Trees and Silver Flowers.
